Ryokan Seifu-so

Located in a quiet riverside residential district outside the city center, Ryokan Seifuso is your ideal base for exploring what Matsumoto and its surrounding area of natural wonders has to offer. Within walking distance from Seifuso are Matsumoto Castle a national treasure and the historic former Kaichi Primary School dating from 1876. There are many museums worth a visit in Matsumoto, including the folklore museum and the Matsumoto Art museum. Festvals abound in Matsumoto year-round, and our spacious communal mineral-rich baths are a real treat after a busy day's sightseeing. The best way to experience Matsumoto is by bicycle (guests can borrow bicycles free of charge). Nearby, Kamikochi is a beautiful mountains area, well worth a day trip ( one and half hours by train). We can pick up from Matsumoto station. Please call us when you arrive at the station. We offer "Kimono" fitting for free and Japanese tea ceremony at 500JPY. Need reservation for both.
